There is already a tutorial up on the forums made by @Charlie.

Please check the sticky topics first.

It does’t explain how to install mods on linux and how to enable them, and it can get confusing reading all that info  I already know this.

Why dont you message @Charlie and say that its lacking a mod installation guide for Linux? No need to create a new topic.

For one its even out of date for workshop, for two why? It doesn’t even look likes its been updated for a while and it hasn’t ever been pinned to the top of the forums. @Charlie @PatrickKlug

Edit: someones already clicked on the Linux YoutubeVideo…

(That was me)

Its pinned in the modding category.

Hi, I’ve got a mac and don’t have any Steam folder under /Users/YourUser/Library/Application Support/

Is there something I need to install?

Where did you install steam on your mac? That’s where the folder is (I think. Macs are confusing.)

I don’t think I’ve installed Steam, I’ve simply installed Game Dev Tycoon from their website.

You… Did you just… I don’t even…
Nevermind. You installed it on steam, you need that folder, you didn’t, you don’t need it. To make it less confusing, if he says Steam/… pretend he said game directory.

P.S Here goes 2 hour necro lol.

Well, I’ve bought it directly from GreenHeart website, no Steam installation or anything like that.

When you click on mod, all you’ve got is this link https://github.com/greenheartgames/gdt-modAPI but I had literally no idea what to do with that… I was wondering if anyone knows?

You have to click on download ZIP, extract the mod API and put it in the mods folder, inside the game directory. You need that since mods need it to function.

Man I completely forgot about this forum… Glad to see some people are being helped by it
