How to enable hints? (+++, -- etc.)

Hello Guys,

I have been watching some youtube vids and some twitch.tv streams about Game Dev Tycoon, and i noticed that a lot of people (most of them atleast) have “advices” and stuff, like the +++ or ++ or — in the development stage, and when choosing an console, there is text under it about which is it best used for (for example PC is best used with Action/Adventure/Sim, that kind of stuff). But i dont have that, nor do i know how to get it. I feel i cant get the max out of the game for myself, because of it.

Can anyone please help me with it? I’ve asked on the streams to the streamers, they say they just research the game after they get the grades about the game, which is the exact same thing i’m doing.

Firstly, you need to make a game.

After you make that game, you need to generate game report of that game.

Do you have the official version of the game? If so then this should be on by default.

I bought the game legit from Steam, so i have the latest version of steam. The researching part i’m doing every time after a game comes off the market, but i dont get anything extra from it,

Make sure you have the hints turned on in the Settings window.
