Hey there @PatrickKlug and @Charlie. I was just wondering, how much longer are you guys planning to support Game Dev Tycoon? I am would like to know if you guys are going to start working on a new game soon. Game Dev Tycoon is an awesome game but I think it’s gotten a bit stale at this point. So I was wondering if you are planning to make a new game soon. I think that you guys should begin developing a new game and should not focus on creating new features for Game Dev Tycoon but only fix bugs and rebalance the game if necessary. There are many game idea suggestions in the forums. I would really like to see something new from you guys. Anyways, I think I rambled on long enough. Good luck guys and have a great day.
I suspect that GDT will likely be supported until GDT2 is released (and some limited support may possibly continue after that). The next project will NOT be GDT2, by the way.
As for new content, it has been announced that GHG are looking into the possibility of adding mod support to GDT. Now, I cannot say right now whether this will actually happen, but if it does, then it will likely be the last major content update to be released.
As far as continued support goes, Daniel and Patrick are very customer centric. I have no doubt that they will support their games as long as there is demand for them to do so.
For the future, well, I really can’t give details but we are hoping for lots of exciting things.
