How long does the game last in game years?

30 years or 35 years if you change it in advanced options by clicking the gear when you name your company and player
(Sorry for the bump) I think the game story is limited, but after that the game is still playable (and your save, too!) but I would not recommend going far in the triple digits as it has been reported that some craaazy things can happen.
