How Is This Game Addicting?

I’m so addicted to it right now and I can’t stop playing, currently in the third level with 70 million.

How is this game addicting? All you do is do the same thing over again, develop a game, create a game engine, hire and go to conventions. That’s all you do but I can’t get enough of it lol

There is few told up ahead, and lots of small things to discover. Also, the way the games are developed is extremely customizable which has a similar effect like LEGO/Minecraft/The Sims

I also think that a main part is that you are making up your own stories in your head. at least for me.

It has good depth to it, it’s simple to understand, but difficult to master. There are lots of things to discover, different routes to take.

The game also has a good length and re-playability. It’s very well thought-out.

@GDI121 I find myself making up news stories as I play the game.

It’s so dang fun.

Though I’ve started to lose interest now that I have 100+ million in the bank and am just about at the end of the game (year 26).

I’m now going a little ‘hardcore’. Trying to make 1 billion dollars by using new topics only (until I run out of topics to research) and using systems that have a low marketshare and no marketing.

Plus no RPG/Action games (I almost always get 8-10 scores on these, but I almost always get lower scores on other genres).

This will probably keep me busy for the next 2 years

I just finished my second company. My first one wasn’t managed very well and fell apart while I was making a new engine… My second company just ended a 30 year run at 187.4M. I can’t explain what it is about this game, but good lord it’s addictive. Being someone who has been in the games industry for 10+ years… it really appeals to me. I’m still a few achievements away… and I swear GAME HERO hates me… It stopped me from getting multiple straight 10 games. Anyway, this game is just phenomenal. Also, who know recreating Gran Turismo for the Gameling was going to be such a success.
