Just as the title explains, just a question asking if the game requirements and reviews and other things have been changed to make the game more challenging,
The update did change many elements - I’m not sure that it made it harder, but it did make it different.
I’ve found it’s now easier to avoid ruining your company (good games tend to be rated between 5.5 and 7.5 even if they’re a shadow compared to your magnum opus), but it’s harder to make really amazing games (I used to get 18 top hits every single time, with my first one in the garage, but now I usually make 15 and the first one comes halfway through the first office).
The 1.4 update changed much things in the game. The game is therefore probably harder to understand in the beginning, if you played before the 1.4 version. If you made your way through some moments, you will probably understand the mechanics of the new update and you will be able to be as successful as before. It’s just something to get used to.
The game is in my opinion easier in version 1.4, but if you played before this release and had no problems making top hit games, it is probably because mainly there have been Genre/Topic/Audience/Platform changes.

The Game should be easier. There are now game reports, to help you know whats good and whats not. Also, since 1.4, getting a perfect 10 is now easier. Although, many of the topics and genre’s were rebalanced, and the game is longer, so maybe that’s whats affecting you.
Personally, since 1.4, I can no longer get perfect 10’s at all.
Well the devstated that getting a perfect 10 is a bit easier. There are less limitations, but dont expect you can get high ratings easier, thats another thing
I hate to tell you guys but I find the game easier now.
The game is a bit easier because of the constant remindings of the good combos and whatnot.
I’d like to thank everyone whose commented on my thread, I was kinda expecting someone to say ‘Angryman194562: You noob, it’s only hard cos your playing it’ well, something like that. Anyway, thank you all for the polite respecting comments. I guess it is easier in some ways, but in the non-steam version, when I had it, I got a lot more 8+ review games and managed to get more money in that version then I have in the steam version. So, I guess that’s why I found this game harder now.
