I never was a gamer, being an impoverished child(code for parents were broke) I never really had many games and grew to not really focus on them, that was until I learned to pirate games. I just read the blog, and really enjoyed the entry on the pirated client. I had learned about your game from watching Sips videos, and I thought about pirating Game Dev, but decided against it since it was only 8 bucks and I had the money. Reading about the impact of pirating, and more important seeing the disproportionate chart of pirated vs purchased copies, will in the future weigh in my thoughts of whether to purchase a game or pirate one.
I can’t say I will always make the choice that sides with the Devs, but I will make the effort to support the developers when I can, even if it’s down the line, or in the very least I wont pirate a green heart game. Best of luck to your company, I hope you don’t swindle your money on researching game topics…
