Good Idea For Greenheart's Next Game!

YouTube Channel Tycoon

You make videos with sliders (jokes, gameplay, roleplay etc.) and you only get like 14 views and maybe 1 subscriber (which is a fan) and then when you start making more you get more views and subscribers. Then you can buy games to make a new series and stuff.

If you look in the top left corner, that is subscribers, total views, and date with a graph which shows your view gain or your subscriber gain. Green means up, grey means no change, red means down.

In the top right corner, you have your four recently posted videos. The graph is currently showing likes and dislikes, where red being dislikes and green being likes. You can also change it to views. To the left of the graph is the name and total views, likes, and dislikes.

If you think this is a good idea, please say so. If you have any ideas donā€™t hesitate to tell me them.

Thanks for reading.

It seems like it would be a little bit lightweight, but as a casual game, I can see how it might work. The idea gets points for being unexpected and creative. (Would this be a ā€˜Moviesā€™ Casual/Simulator in Game Dev Tycoonā€™s topic list?)

I can see myself buying a game like this and not regretting the purchase. Whether I ended up playing much of it would be another issue. (I sometimes purchase games because Iā€™m interested in the concepts and ideas behind them even if their gameplay isnā€™t great.) Rather high on my ā€˜desired featuresā€™ list would be for the game to include references to hacktivism and attempts to use social media to influence peopleā€¦ although I can understand how that might not be ideal for this genre.

I kind of like your idea for social networks. Make a Facebook (or, since of copyright issues, Facenovel) fan page and have your fan base grow. And people could also follow you on Twitter (or Tweeter) and stuff like that. Good idea!

That sounds like Game Dev Tycoon with a reskin. I would be more interested in a whole new game with more advanced tools to use, not silders.

I canā€™t think of how to do it without sliders XD but I guess you could have like 10 slots, and you could like drag and drop how many slots you want to put into something, e.g. 5 in jokes, 3 in gameplay, 1 in roleplay and 1 in something else I canā€™t really think ofā€¦

Thanks for the idea

I offer a ā€œsimulation of Steve Jobsā€ - Consoles Tycoon! As in Game Dev Tycoon player begins his career in the garage, and then gradually develops its own console, as well as buys and creates its own operating system! And in this in this game might be to buy a license, not to create a rather expensive OS! Also, the game will be able to choose in which country (I even came up with options: the United States, provides an additional income from the OS, Russia, gives discounts on software licenses to the OS; Japan, gives a great income from the sale of set-top boxes; SE Korea, provides a great income from the sale of the PC)

The game begins in 1970! The game comes from the development of the simplest machines to modern xBox one and PS4!
