Good job on after release report,
Good matches and sort need bolder color (when picking topic/name/platform)
If you hire 2 staff at almost the same time
the first staff will take more time to replenish his/her “bar” rather than 2nd staff
I also notice that at year 5 to 10/15
PC game only sell for 1$/unit
while gameling sell 7-10$/unit
WTF?
The Unit-price of the game is not dependant on the platform. It only depends on the size. Small games are cheaper than medium etc…
When using publishers it is quite normal that you only get around 1$/Unit, how much exactly is determined by the royalties of the publishing contract. (6-13%)
thing is they both medium games…
PC back on year 1-3 sell like 7$/unit with small games
and how come 10% royalties make game prices drop to 1$/unit ?
Because the actual game price is 10$/Unit (more than 7$/Unit of small games), but because you only get 10%, you get only 1$/Unit. The sales-figure is what you get from the sales, try making a medium game without a publisher and compare the numbers. You will get more money per game but unless you have 100k fans ore more, you will sell a lot less units.
@.@
i thought publisher take 10% of your game , not developer get 10% of it
publisher kinda worthless then…
Not at all - They’re a way for you to make Medium (and Large) games before you are known well enough by the customers (i.e. have enough fans) to be able to independently release a game.
I usually get 10-12% royalties from my Publishing deals, which is a lot of money considering how you’ll sell many many more copies this way. But never fall for the poor combination deals - it can wreck your company.
*New suggestion
allow player to pick first 3 topic , the rest of it could be random
