GDR V6: Realistic-Ness

Rock Games Inc. News
Semptember 5, 1985

Rock Games Inc. has announced the release date of their highly anticipated game called Medieval Raider. They said they thought it would be a good idea to release the game mid-october, both because of debugging and hype building. They have announced they are going to release it on October 13, 1985. The game itself is done but they are in the debugging phase and they still want to improve some of the game to compete with Dungeon Explorer. It seems Mythical Games doesn’t give anything about them denouncing them and they didn’t drag him to the court. They could’ve done this but the CEO says: ‘They probably didn’t do that because they want to have their good reputation stay a much longer time, although they will probably disappoint any fans with their next game. We also don’t think their console will be able to compete with the NES or Master V. It’s just a waste of money and we don’t recommend to pre-order it when you are able to. Better go and save for the amazing NES.’ We will see how the game will be in mid-october and if their ‘highly anticipated’ game will be a hit, better then Dungeon Explorer.

Ping’s sales have fallen way below expected numbers. Industry analysts say that Pixel Studios NY is about to go bankrupt unless they release a moderately good game. That’s what the company is about to do. They announced a Fantasy RPG but nobody even knows its name for now.

MUD 2 was finally released today! After many delays, bugfixes, and additions, they have finally gotten a perfect version to release! They will be releasing expansion packs, along with anyone who pre ordered will get a free “Preorder Sword” in game, along with a life-size shield of templars.

MUD 2, everybody!
MUD 2
(Multi User Dungeon 2)

MUD 2 is released in North America, Europe, and Japan. Along with this, it is released on the Atari 2600, and the NES. It features 8-bit graphics with 5 different playable characters, over 100 different items, 5 different dungeons to explore, and 5 new bosses! This features Local Multiplayer aswell as a new dungeon editor. The game (normally) has a high framerate and isn’t very buggy. (Hooray!)

Pixel Power Review
Featuring over 100 different items, 5 different playable characters, 5 different dungeons, and 5 bosses, MUD 2 is spectacular. It features Local Multiplayer, so players can play with friends or siblings in the same dungeon. It naturally has a high framerate and low bugs, and exclusive to MUD 2 is a dungeon editor. The game has innovative design with 10-bit graphics instead of the normal 8-bit graphics, but still features 8-bit sounds. Pixel Power gives this game a 9/10!

Pixel Studios LA has announced something spectacular. They are making a new console, and are open for companies looking to assist in the console.

“It will feature up-to-date technologies, allowing high-end games to be run, where unlike on the NES and Atari 2600, we can actually run games with over 400 sprites. We’re looking for companies to assist - each company will get an even division of the royalties. If anyone has any knowledge making hardware, come on down. We’ve founded a co-company called Pixel Consoles LA. The console shall be named… The Omega Phoenix!”

That was Founder and CEO of Pixel Studios, Pixel’s speech. Not much has been announced, but he is announcing **any ** companies that help, and assisting them in selling games.

// I’d recommend you guys do this because the Omega Phoenix will feature up to date tech so we can run our high-end 1337 games.

[IN A LETTER]

Dearr Pixel Studios,

I am sorry for not clearing up my name. My name is actually Rock Scol. We have thought about assisting Pixel Studios with Omega Phoenix but didn’t feel the actual ability to do this since we have no experience with hardware what-so-ever. If Pixel Studios would clarify some things for us in the hardware industry and help us making it successful (and other future projects which might be made by us) we will help you in the console. We have some employees ready to help and wanting to learn about hardware.
