A new company has formed out of the ground, launching with a new title announcement. The company is Pixel Studios, and they have already announced a new game - Base. Base is an interacative 8-bit graphics game where players must build bases and defend against monsters. Players can play with eachother on the same screen, allowing for two-player base building and defending. Not much is known about Base, except for the cover. It will be released on the NES.

[IN A LETTER]

Jordan Richardson,

Pixel Studios would find it easier to create a game together. We could share profits from the game and for all we know, this could be the beginning of our own gaming eras. We should work on my title, Base, together. Profits will be gained easily and I ask of this only once. It can speed up time of our comapnies’ forming.

Pixel Games LA

Pixel Studios LA has abandoned the game Base, saving the code for a future generation. While no one knew this, they already had a game ready for release. It’s title is MUD, or Multi User Dungeon. It is being released for the NES. It has 8-bit graphics, and 8-bit sounds, and features co-op gameplay by sharing a screen on a television. Players will have to navigate through a dungeon, and defeat bosses whilst trying to survive. Here is a screenshot of the prototype demo that one of our staff here at Gaming News managed to get.

//Yes, I drew that myself and I’ll do draw for others.

PixelPower Magazine Issue 1
MUD has been released! MUD is Multi-User-Dungeon, and PSLA (Pixel Studios LA) has already promised us a sequel to the game. It is released on the NES, and players can join in with friends as long as they have a second controller handy. Players will explore randomly-generated dungeons, while fighting randomly-generated bosses, with randomly-generated items. Pixel says he hopes to expand on the idea of MUD. It features 8-bit graphics and 8-bit sounds.

Here are some pictures!

The game gets a rating of 8 from Mythical Games, The way the game is made is superb with only a few bugs.

Dear Mr. Richardson,
I only am a magazine for home console gamers and so I can not report on your game for the c64.
Sincerely,
Ron Jewfers

Mud is much better than the dirt its named after.
