Game keeps getting an error

Every time I try to start the game, I get this error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘id’ of null (file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Game%20Dev%20Tycoon/compressed/codeNw.js:1706)

Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

More info? Are you using Windows Mac or Linux?

This seems to be related to a save game state problem.

In this case, you could:

  • Disabling each module one by one and re-enabling them one by one
  • Create a new game (don’t use old save game, unless compatible with the mods)

If you have the steam version of the game

  • You should find a folder named LocalStorage located in c:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Game Dev Tycoon - Steam
  • Rename or delete or backup this folder (LocalStorage) before starting the game.

Sorry for late reply.

I can’t find the AppData folder in my users folder. I’ve tried everything you listed except the renaming Local Storage.

Anything else, or am I screwed?
