Hey there, My name is Philip and I recently bought the surface pro and got this awesome game as my first paid app. I absolutely love it!
There is one feature that I would really love to see implemented though… when the reviews are showing or when you look at the game history screen it would be great to see a screenshot of your game. Here’s how I propose the screenshot is generated:
- Check graphics level (e.g. 2d version 1 3d version 1) - improve game graphics screenshot based on the graphics level.
- Check genre (e.g. sport, scifi) - so maybe a football field or spaceship.
- Check device (e.g. tes, g64) - the device can be a border for the screenshot. So scale the game screenshot to be inserted to the output of the game device.
In other words when the reviews come in above them can be the device such as the pc or Gameboy which can be show the graphics of the game on their monitor. To improve this further you could even add sounds to the screenshot based on the sound options such as basic or mono chosen when developing the game.
This would require a lot of graphics to be made though however it would seriously make the game more enjoyable and polished. If you ever decide to add features in the future place consider my idea. For an example of what I’ve said in action check out game tycoon (2006) where the game you develop gets reviewed by a magazine which shows a screenshot of the game running.
