Game development questions regarding boost / entire team

Hi, first of all, thank you for this awesome game. It’s absolutely stunning since the newest update.

I have two questions regarding the game development.

1.) What is the best strategy to use the boost? Is it basically at the beginning of the development so that you can use a second round of boosts if it’s recharged? Or should the specific boost used if the corresponding part of the game is developed, e.g. use the guy’s boost of Gameplay when Gameplay is developed?

2.) What does it mean if the game report says: We should try to focus our entire team on the development of the game?
All my employees are working but I still get this message every time.

I get this a lot, too. I think it triggers if anyone needs a vacation before the game is finished. Or if you do any research, training, or bug fixes for a previous game. I’ve never seen it pop up when everyone is at max efficiency and not otherwise occupied from beginning to end.

I rarely use boost, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I find using the boost during game development risky. It surely will boost the games quality and rating, but it also means that games developed without the use of boost have it a bit harder afterwards (as your games have to compete with your past games).
If i use boost i use it when my staff is training. It shortens the time they are “away” training and i think it boosts the amount of points learned. But in the last couple of playthroughs i never even trained my staff in boost (needed my research points elsewhere).

My problem is, I researched everything, my staff is completely trained and on Level 11 - 12, so there is almost no space for improvements but I still could not manage to produce a mega hit game. I have the feeling it’s getting even more difficult to get god ratings because I don’t get “New Record” ratings.

Is the game over or is there anything I could do?

First off all do not use Boost everytime, use it when you think a boost is needed for a game.
For example if you didn’t train your staff or don’t have any new engine feature to add to the game.
Try to use the boost whenever that employee is working on His/Hers part of the game.

( tip: you can left-click the screen and pause and click boost. )

You will get this message because one or more employees are in need of vacation ( Exhaustion bar showing )
You can sync your staff vacation “needs” by waiting till they all need to go and then send them all at once.
