Game Dev Tycoon Let's Plays - Good or bad?

What is your stance on Let’s Plays of Game Dev Tycoon? Personally, it’s both a good and bad game to Let’s Play. It’s good because each player will play the game differently, making each video a unique experience, and it’s bad because GDT doesn’t really have that much going on most of the time. I’m sure that everyone who’s played video games before with a friend can attest that one of the most infuriating things to watch is your friend failing at a game that you’re good at.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilJN7Zyxxxc For a second I thought this was some sort of bizarre troll, but he actually has 84 videos of GDT. Why would you want to watch a straight playthrough of a game like this for that long?

Have you seen Sp00n’s let’s play?

I think let’s plays are good because the one thing I was thinking when watching them was, “I bet I can play this game better than them!”

Well, ZeRoyalViking’s gameplay of Game Dev Tycoon is what introduced me to it in the first place, and were IMO entertaining to watch because I enjoy his commentary and humour, so yes, I believe it’s a good game to let’s play if the LPer does it right and provides entertaining commentary, and also makes an effort to not give his games generic names.
