Game dev tycoon for the Blackberry Playbook

Ok so ive played the PC demo for this game and i find it really great, however, id rea,ly wish it was on the great but sadly infamous BlackBerry PlayBook.

Im sure its not THAT hard to port it, and it can always bring more money to the devs pockets and making a lot of PB users happy!

Pls reply

Well, if they’re gonna port it to a dead tablet, they should port it to my WebOS Touchpad, too.

Actually, porting to platforms with completely different structures can be quite time consuming and tough. With such a small market I don’t see this happening anytime soon.

I heard that the playbook may be upgraded to the blackberry10 OS, would that make a difference?

I doubt it. I don’t think it would be worth the trouble right now.

well, you evidently don’t know the blackberry playbook.
A game like Game Dev Tycoon (html5 in a webkit+node.js container) can be ported natively in a few hours: the time to know how the compilers and tools are working.
The real problem can be to make the interface finger friendly, but since there is a Windows RT version, I suppose this has already been addressed.

Well if the port is as easy as you say it is, maybe we will see it in the future. Honestly you are correct I don’t know a whole lot about the playbook, but I am sure there will be some optimization needed for a new platform.

of course it won’t be as easy as “one click”, but the new blackberry platform (tablets and new phones) can use almost any programming language for their apps

Flash games, iphone games, android games, html5 games, all can be ported without much hassle

for example this guy without any blackberry experience ported his iphone game in just two days:

Well if it is fairly simple and enough people request it I am sure there would be a good chance.

Wow, i never actually knew how easy it is to put stuff on the PB! Of course its not easy as click a thing and boom but, seriously 2 days? Also the reason i want to get it on my PB is that if im gonna buy a game, why not have it on the most powerful tablet on the market? (seriosuly the playbook is a BEAST, i can play a full HD game while watching a 1080P Video in the backrouns W/U lag!) now im reaaally wonder why this tablet isnt more popular…
