Game Dev Tycoon doesn't support widescreen moniters?

So i got a new widescreen moniter along with my brand new computer (hopefully doesn’t make so much noise as my last one ) and i got Game Dev Tycoon 1.4.5 from my email and loaded my saves from my USB drive and started playing. I noticed one thing, Game Dev Tycoon didn’t stretch as long as it did on my previous moniter and therefore i cannot see the prices of my choices i want to put in a game. Because of this i got bankrobbed. And now i ask my question in the title: Game Dev Tycoon doesn’t support widescreen moniters?

I’m not having any issues on my 1920x1080 monitor.

What’s your resolution?
Can you post a screenshot?
Since you mentioned you have a new computer, have you installed the graphics card and DirectX drivers?

Yea… 1920X1080 an have no problems

I think 1024x768 60Hz

This is just the start, i have one save where i finished the game and i can’t see the prices of additional things.

Yes.

1024x768 isn’t widescreen… if that’s just your Windows setting and the actual monitor is widescreen, you can increase it by right clicking the desktop and clicking “screen resolution”.

Edit: You also mentioned your monitors make noise… do you have a CRT (not flat) monitor?

wat

Edit: double wat
Edit2: Now lets get serious, my moniter doesn’t make noise, my previous computer did. And i just right-click desktop, i don’t see anything saying “screen resolution”.

?

I have written a small workaround mod for this problem using 1024x768.
You can download it from http://gdt-ultimatesuite.abesco.de/gdt/LowResWorkaroundMod.zip.

Hope this helps.

btw. GDT does support widescreen monitors  In fact, I have one. You are probably encountering a small annoyance that applies on a screen resolution of 1024x768.

Hey @Today

We do support widescreen monitors
As stated on our requirements information the current Minimum Supported Resolution is 1024x768 but higher is recommended.
However @alphabit has created a nice workaround for those on lower end resolutions.

I would suggest checking if your monitor can achieve a higher resolution. I have included some images of how to change resolution on Windows 7.

Newer OS says screen resolution. On an older OS when you right click on the Desktop you need to choose Properties. Then you go through the tabs until you find the resolutions (Settings tab I think), then choose the best one for your monitor (the highest). 1024x768 is a bad resolution. And not widescreen. Good luck!

I fixed my moniter anyway. Silly me, my moniter is 1280x980!
