I was making kick butt games and sequels (medium ones) on ps3. But when the Ps4 came out all of my games sucked (even though I used the same formula).
do I need to make large games???

Well, the tech is more powerful for one,but im pretty sure like PS3 has a bonus in action games I think, that is different with PS4. @Pinstar - He knows a lot of game play tips so he can help
It’s all good in the hood
I’ve pretty much beaten the game with 800m dollars in the bank
The bonuses are the same for the PS3/PS4 in terms of Genres (Action, RPG and Casual IIRC)
The main difference is tech level. The tech level determines what level of graphics benefit your games operate at. If you are at 3d graphics V7 (which is tech level 7), it’s going to get brought down by a console hardware if that console is a lower tech level. IIRC the PS3 is tech level 5 and the PS4 is tech level 6.
The other thing to keep in mind is market share. You’ll want to start using the 4 as soon as it comes out simply because it steals away most of the share that the 3 had. Larger market share means more potential sales.
Note: The only way to use 3d graphics V7 without the platform dragging it down is to either develop for the PC (where the tech level always equals your graphics tech level) or develop a custom console with the 3d graphics v7 built in (making the console have tech level 7).
Thanks, I think I’m pretty much good for now. I have my own console and upwards of $1.5b,
Haven’t made an AAA game yet though LOL…
