Focus More on the "tycoon" part. A few ideas

I really enjoy the game but it fall short on a few things for me.
1 Have your games affect market share of other consoles. (might do it already not sure)
if you are a big company then releasing a hit game on say the wii u should increase marketshare a bit. Or maybe a hit series.

2 Being able to become a exclusive developer for companies or choose to make a multiplat.
Have a random chance if you’re popular enough for a company, say nintendo to contact you and ask either for you to make a game for their console or to become an exclusive dev for them.

3 Set game prices or have a publisher set it

4 have popular games on the market longer.
When my hit game baskar’s quest 9 comes out and get’s incredible review scores it should be on the market for a lot of years. I’m sure people still buy oblivion today.

5 being bought out by a publisher
instead of being bankrupt give the player a chance to be bought out.
This would mean they can’t always make the games they want and perhaps they would be forced to follow the market trends, but it’s either that or go bankrupt.

6 Seeing sales and popularity figures of other company’s and perhaps being able to see their game history
I think it would be very interesting to see you main competitors game and sales history but also just seeing
all these other different company’s and how they’re ranked compared to you

7 Reviews being a bit more helpful and detailed
when my text based casual dancing game with no sound for the wii u get’s all one’s I’d rather they say what idea’s fell flat instead of just telling us it makes them cry

That’s about all. Hopefully they can implement these idea’s into a sequel as the game really does deserve it as it has a lot of potential to be great.

I agree I would like the starting date even earlier and game game pace slowed a fair bit. I would like to start with making Atari 2600 games and the odd Coin-op game for the arcades (cash cow). I would also like an Alternate history. When Commodore are going bust if you had the capital you could save them and buy the out and further develop their hardware. I really like what if scenarios. There is a hell of a lot of hidden potential in this game.

My only gripe with the game is it does not tell you where you are going wrong. I think the design Stat should have a more direct affect on the final scoring of the game.

I’d like the option to offer publishing deals once you reach a certain amount of money. I think having other companies create games for you would be fun.

Way too complicated for a 2-man developer.

Not really… take a look at the original ‘Elite’.
That was a two man development and Look at what they did. Its not too complex just takes longer.
