- The game repeats to much, the console development is always the same…i know they need to follow the development that happend in real life, but at least make it a bit more random.
- can’t chose game price.
- can’t chose a subscription model of some sort
- one of the biggest genres in games the last couple of years: MMORPG doesn’t exist, the closest would be an rpg with online play but still…
- The maker of the game will not read this, but he should, a simple solution to stop pirating of your game: More ways of payment!! i don’t have Visa, and just paying with a bancaccount isn’t possible (at least not in europe) and the price isn’t 8 euros, it says price of game 7.99 some kind of crap 1.86 euros, so that’s 10, not 8…For me it’s impossible to buy the game, and since big future updates arn’t planned, why would i? if i can’t buy it, why would i try everything in my power to get it if nothing will change later on?
Tried making an MMO with RPG as genre?
I didn’t update the game since the new release, before the update MMO wasn’t an option, but now it is i guess?
I bought the game while living in Europe, using my bankaccount.
I paid € 7.85 including Tax.
MMO has been in the game for a very long time, you just need to research it.
I believe GHG have stated that this game was developed with the express intention of adding a bit of predictability into the genre. Too many games rely on randomness in place of decent gameplay design.
This is a common complaint, and has been noted by the devs. They have a large list of improvements that they’re saving for GDT 2 at some point in the future.
I’m not sure what you mean by this… Do you mean choosing to allow your MMOs to be F2P? That’s not a lot different from setting the price (just set it to 0 :))
As Jay said, just make an MMO with RPG as the main genre… Voila! An MMORPG is born!
There is a simple solution, you could buy the game. It costs $9.99 (that’s USD - approximately £7 or €9 after VAT) for the Desktop Edition from the GHG Store. This allows you to use a variety of payment methods, including Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc), PayPal, or Wire Transfer. You will also receive a free Steam key.
Alternatively, you could buy the game directly on Steam for a little more, and you can use a large number of payment options there.
The price has gone up recently to reflect the additional content in 1.4
He stated having the game prior to 1.4 and the steam release
He also stated not having purchased the game yet. Assuming he wanted to play the game legally, then he would be expected to pay the higher price.
True, but if he would just paid for it back then he would have been paying only €7.85.
It is still not an expensive game now.
Subscription model is like WoW, a monthly payment of some sorts, so that a game can earn money for a longer time.
I know you can buy the game with diffrent ways, but none work with my banc account, so i litteraly CAN’T buy the game but i want to…
and i don’t want complete randomness, but all the premade messages are 100% the same, for example, the TES comes out the same week every time you play the game, the market rating of the pc rises at the same week etc, they could change this so that sometimes things happen early or later in the game.
I know what a subscription model is, I’m just not sure what you want. If you make an MMO in-game, the game keeps running until you tell it to stop. It only take a teeny tiny piece of imagination to figure that the MMO is being supported by subscriptions.
As for paying with your bank account, I’m not sure that Belgium is in the dark ages here. You should be able to link your account to a PayPal account and then you can use PayPal to broker a direct bank transfer (this is how I bought the game - twice). Or you can use Wire Transfer direct from your bank. If your bank doesn’t allow this, then you need to complain to them. If your account is a restricted account for children or young people, then you could try sending the money to a Parent and asking them to pay for you.
As for the timing of when you receive messages, you could change the length of the game which should spread the messages out a little more. Since 1.4 you can choose 42 years as the maximum game length.
Heya,
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and PayPal. In some locations we support bank transfer. If payment by bank transfer is available in your location, it will appear among the billing methods. If it does not appear, it is not yet available.
We do have plans to add additional payment methods in the future if you would like to check back.
If you purchase from Steam you also have the options of;
Credit/debit cards
Visa
Mastercard
Discover
American Express
JCB
PayPal
Visa Electron
PaySafeCard
Sofortüberweisung / DIRECTebanking.com
iDeal
WebMoney
If you’re from Belgium (like EvoGamer said), you can look into prepaid credit cards, which are available at most Belgian Banks (afaik), they can do anything a regular credit card can, without having any of the usual requirements to be eligible for one, except that you still have to be over 18.
There are probably easier ways to pay for this game, but it’s a good all-round solution if you often find yourself wishing you had a credit card while browsing the Internet.
