Few ideas (Catalog, end of sales, subscription, multiplatforms...)

Hi everybody,

I have not yet reached the end of the game (there are there any?) But from what I’ve seen, some features should be implemented.
If some of the things listed below are already present in the game or already required by others fans, please excuse me for that. Otherwise, tell me if they are good ideas or not you would like to see added to the game.

  • Catalog : To begin, I think it would be wise to implement a catalog system, allowing us to see all the games developed, they have reported to us, the number of fans, why not with, graphs showing the evolution of sales and fans in time…

  • End of sales : we should be able to choose ourselves to remove a sales game. Indeed, at present, depending on whether the game is a success or not, it sells for more or less time. The editor should have the option to remove the sales game itself because even if these sales have become very low, generally ay, it never drops to 0.

  • Transport a game on different platforms game : From what I’ve seen, when a game is developed, it can do so only for a single console. Why cannot unlock an option in research to develop a game (either simultaneously or after the game is released) on multiple platforms.

  • Operate a system of price : Without going to choose the price game (I think it will be too heavy), have a system to make a free game or a very low price after a certain period (as some publishers do or done = > Rockstar Games has made free GTA 1 and 2).

  • History system : Have a history system to see how we create each game to analyze what made the latter to work or not. This would try to replicate success and vice versa, not to reproduce a failure…

  • Subscription : Add a game system with subscription as current as some current wholesale MMORPG which I will not mention the name.

  • Reviving an old success : This has already been, or just with simple games that cross time (who said Pac-Man ?). Have an option to renovate an old game, done on an old console that is no longer in circulation to allow this game to be recirculated.

I also invite you to give your ideas on this topic or another topic. This could only allow the game to become better if the developers are inspired by our ideas at all.

  1. That would work, and the available companies (Apple, Nintendo, etc. In the game btw) could show each game for release, how much they made and if you release a game within a period of theirs, that would affect your sales, say by releasing it 2-3 weeks in between two games from other companies. Thats basically rivals, and that.

  2. I agree too much on this…being able to price a game (Like say $60) and if its to high, and people don’t feel they need the game, then sales would be lower, and in the reviews, it can state that its too pricey for a undeveloped game, this would be brilliant.

  3. Agreed, I think the Game History should go into much more in-depth and adding improvements as what you stated would work.

Great ideas you have there.
But with this huge amount of ideas posted in the forums that aren’t implemented yet it will be very challenging to the developers to add all of them :smile:!

Thats why I suggest the developers taking note of all the features into one document. Then seeing what they can do with a feature, if they can’t do it, or its too big, put it in another document or subheading titled Game Dev Tycoon 2. Its all about organizing.
