I changed the topic and post name. Also to answer your question: it looks interesting, and if you want I could help test builds of the game.

@joaco335 I understand it’s a concept, but better graphics would be more appealing towards my eyes. (That might’ve been worded wrongly.) Nevertheless, still a good concept.

“Looks nice.
Maybe the UI isn’t so good in some places, but it’s not so important.”

Hi, let me offer some in depth advice with some criticism inside.

You have chosen an interesting, but a bit overused theme. Why? Running restaurants and restaurant chains are often used as the main theme for casual games. Time management, light business simulation, etc. all see this as a popular option. Yet fast food isn’t as popular than coffee, sweets or high end restaurant.

I see that you don’t have a finished UI and most of the art assets can change, so I don’t comment on those ideas, But you have enough variables for a good Tycoon game, which can have an audience.

But I would add a few features. In addition of naming your chain you should be able to choose between different kinds of chains. Some chains started out at a truck stop where a lot of people ate at a small family restaurant. But as people loved it, they had a chance to branch out. Others were founded fishermen who teamed up to represent their interests. And at first it was easy to sell some fish at the market, but soon they had rather nice restaurants in cities. And we deal about two different fast food chains.

Now some company that specializes at fries… And their trick is the packaging. You can carry your fries, dips, etc. in one hand and eat while you spend time taking a walk, or enjoying stuff on the beach. Yet another company has a burger you can easily eat while driving. Other chains offer coffee, etc. for the people who can afford it. Variety and specialization should be both available as options.

And yet… Hooters and other chains know everything can be sold with boobs. Yet other places like Hard Rock Coffee, etc. try to sell you their products with other views and good time.

Let your players choose this initial focus, and give them a chance to develop in that direction. I would tie this choice with the choice of a “main character” who runs the restaurant. Let players specialize. You add a lot of information, plenty of choices to advertise and research… But you could also help your players write the story of their chain from the first unit to world domination. For this, each and every chain should have some character.

I see an option of Research. Some of it is good, some of it isn’t. As you don’t need expensive research to add some more variety. Yet you can refine recipes and ingredients. But I would also make sure some more upgrades become available with time, and you could have research that lets you use earlier. Again: Some chain see fries that were fried without any oil…Yet other upgrades would require training for your staff, and education within your chain. You could also spend money (and research technologies that help with) on quality assurance. I see you want to go for a nice game with plenty of depth for immersion, but as you are in planning stages I would use this chance to see which way would help you most…

Most people also spoke about your UI, but I am sure it is far from finished, so I won’t bash it. But as a suggestion: Often try to be a bit more visual. If you speak about appearance of your restaurants and uniforms, etc. you can show some art. Either drawing, or if you aren’t that good with drawing pre-rendered art. As if you don’t use the 3D models in the game, you can use DAZ content without a developer licence. If you need help with this, just ask.

Hi @Enerla that was a really good answer, i already have some ideas that you tell me but i haven’t implemented them yet, but that about the character is a really good idea i didn’t think about that, please send me your e-mail as a private message so i can invite you later to the private beta in a few weeks maybe i don’t know i have a lot of work to do, thank you for your critic

@Jediwolf yeah sure give me your e-mail by pm so i can invite you to the private beta

@apljee yeah i know, this is just a concept so you’ll see a better UI, i’m working hard on it right now!!

PM sent

@joaco335 The concepts and all are good, it’s just the UI isn’t very nice in my opinion. Still, I applaud you.

Hi may i asked what lanuage this is programed in?
