That is because The Sims 2 was closer to the Windows 7 release date than Windows 8. Windows 8 also f*cked up compatibility with older games.

@Haxor oh? Try buying any of the Jagged Alliance games on Windows 8 and playing them. If you love Jagged Alliance like I do, your heart will be achy-breaky-broken.

On-topic portion of my post: I’m going to make a new neighborhood instead of the one I was already making (mostly because a lot of the houses cost $98k or more) My new neighboorhood will be Greenheart City. (Why are they called neighborhoods again?) It will feature everyone from the forums, as best as can be made with my imagination. Of course, I’ll be living in the glorious mansion. Everyone looks up to my mansion. Not me. Just my mansion, overshadowing the city.

They get new people playing the Sims and stuck with Origin right before they release The Sims 4 so more sales on that and people buying other games on Origin.

@Haxor I don’t think it is about reputation completely otherwise they would have done it with Sims 3.

I think they just got everything they could out of the 2nd so it becomes an advertising tool.
