I’ve recently seperated my Steam version from Steam, however a certain message had appeared and it is worrying me. This is accepted “fiddling around” on Steam and other games support this file movement, however I think it may be detecting mine as pirated.
Does the event/message appear on the legit version that gives the option to warn/sue pirates? Or is that a code that should be on the cracked version? Please help as it would be really annoying if I continually lost money in-game for a product that I honestly bought.
I can even provide my steam profile details, if needs be.
Yeah it’s a random event.
Thanks, got worried because it was about piracy and associated it with the cracked copy story/article.
The pirate version of the game does not give you a choice of response when pirates steal your game, and will quickly force bankruptcy. The genuine version of the game allows you to warn or sue the pirates, and will not force you to go bankrupt. They are separate builds of the game, and one cannot magically turn into the other.

I actually got worried when it happened to me, too. (Only on the first time, though.)
