Hello everybody, I’m not sure if there’s been a thread before mine, but I couldn’t find one.
I have one rather simple question about the game; If you copy the game files from one computer to another, will the anti-piracy protection activate? I have two different computers, and I was thinking that I would download the game on one computer, then transfer it to my other computer as well. Will this work, or will the anti-piracy protection start? Thanks.
Well, It is stated that the game (at least the ones obtained through the purchase e-mail links) is DRM-free and can be installed on as many computers as you wish as long as you own the said computers (although I think it says somewhere you’re legally allowed to install the game on three computers? There’s nothing stopping you from installing it on more tho, but it wouldn’t be cool). It’s only the version the devs seeded over various piracy sites that are bogus and rigged.
You just have remember to copy the actual installer (what the e-mail that you were sent linked to) and install it on each machine you own instead of just copying the executable.
I’m currently running two copies of the game - one on a Linux desktop and another on a Windows notebook. No issues there
