Differences between PC windows & SurfaceRT windows version

I bought the SurfaceRT version a month back and just saw that GDT has just been released for PC windows.

Is there any differences between these 2 versions?

For those that bought GDT on windows store, can we download it for the PC windows? Or do I need to make a new purchase for PC?

We aim to provide existing owners (both win8 and native owners) with a Steam key if we get on steam. currently there is no automated way to get a key from within the win8 version.

Do you mean that if GDT gets on Steam, those who bought the SurfaceRT version will get a key to download the PC version from steam?

if we can pull it off, then yes. It’s much harder to verify a genuine purchase on Win8 than it is for the native version since we don’t actually get any customer data from Microsoft.

Something I still do not understand; Since you will be giving steam keys to ppl who bought the Surface version, why are you not able to let us download the PC version directly from your online store?

because we don’t have the system in-place yet.

Okay, I have just voted yes. Btw, you guys keep up the good work. I love simulation games I hope you guys will do more. Maybe you could do something like SimCity. :smile:
