[B]Welcome to my very FIRST THREAD[/B]. If I ever become one of those people who are generally well known, this will be here for you to laugh at, when I couldn’t post threads with enough detail or awareness of the game hah.

[I]Basically, I sadly don’t have access to the game myself, I’m simply inputting ideas from things I’ve seen in Youtube that would be awesome. And yes, some of my ideas may already exist. But I don’t really know that, I have watched an up to date version of the game, so I think I know the ins and outs.[/I]

But, less Gibbering, more idea conversing.

[B]Section 1, Departments[/B]

As you know, you can make games based in Steam, kind if thing, and you can add expansion packs onto them.
I would love to see a way to hire more than your six crew, but designate these to that steam game on its on.

It’ll work the same way you can scroll to the console making area, and the R&D. The R&D will also have new things it can do.

I think you should be able to hire 4 staff for the steam games. The new departments are.

  • Steam/Grid Game Department
  • Website Development
  • Community Team

Let’s break this down a little more lol.

[B]Steam/Grid Development Team[/B]

This will require a lot of micromanaging don’t you think. You can have as many steam crews as you want, but be cautious of the LARGE amount of money and managment this will cost.

This Steam Team will do everything for that particular game, including handling bug reports, adding expansions and generally maintaining the game, and keeping on eye on how much it earns.

[B]Bug Reports[/B]

This is also a new thing, and does require research to get it.
[B]Note: You will receive bug reports, even if you don’t research it in the R&D lab, it just means you can’t see them[/B]

Bugs will be in working order from the start of the game, not just for steam games.
To solve bugs (when you have researched it), the solving method will work the same as a contract pretty much, you’ll have a time limit before the bug makes the game unpopular, and you’ll also have to work your crew to solve it. The harder/stronger the bug, the longer it’ll take to solve.

I will update this as I figure out my own ideas :slight_smile: . Please leave feedback on whats currently put up.

These are some great ideas, but unfortunately this can only be added through mods from now on. GHG are working on a new project :open_mouth:

You may want to check Camelot’s exp pack, it isn’t just like you want, but you would have some influence on the Grid.

Also, as @PatrickKlug (I guess) said GDT is complete, and only updates will be those with bug fixes.
