"game was more or less the same as the last game."
I want to have a company that does mostly RPG’s but if I do I get complaints that I’m not very orgional. As far as I know square soft does mainly RPG’s and they don’t get told off for not going into other game types so why should I?
aren’t there other game companies that do other game types?
I mostly focus on RPGs when I play, but I never use the same theme twice in a row. So stop doing Medieval all the time, mix in some Fantasy, Sci-Fi, or Alternate History for example.
so if EA was in Game Dev Tycoon that would leave my company to do one gametype all the time.
according to the other comments I should try switching up themes.
Dont really like the new topic bonus, it leads you to make games all over the place which doesnt feel very right. We are just making different games to grab a onetime bonus. It would be better if there some sort of dynamic market system where you can decide what game you make by customer demand and other game devs competition. Gamebiz 2 and 3 have this a bit, where different genres have differend demand levels, but its also viable to satisfy the smaller demands, because there is less competition,
I agree. IRL I think FPS games are in high demand maybe casual games for phone users but RPG’s and Stragity games are low in demand so if I had a company I would start making a Stragity or RPG games because other companys are making the mainstream games.
