Hello. You know me as Botahamec(maybe), but you don’t know how to pronounce that so call me Mike. I’m developing a game called Codename: Who’s Guilty. I added “codename” to the beginning to make it interesting. Maybe it worked. Did it? I don’t know.
About the Game
And before you ask, no. This is NOT related to Game World Studios. This is a project I’m developing in my free time that I think is pretty good.
The game is like this, you’re a detective in some city, I don’t have a definite answer as to what the town will be called, maybe Buffalo? But, while you’re staying at a hotel, a murder occurs there. You have to solve who did it by interrogating suspects and looking for clues in between-day sequences. The gameplay is very similar to 80 Days
The game will appear on Game Jolt for free. Or at most, for the price of an ad. One ad that you look at once on the download page, that I make about $0.002 off of. Downloading it multiple times is very much appreciated. It’ll also play online for those of you who don’t want to waste time downloading it. Which is fine. I still get get my 1/5 of a cent.
Just to clarify: The ad will be on the download page, not the game.
I was surprised when I saw that. I’m pretty sure the game itself doesn’t have that high quality. But I must of been wrong if I was able to take that picture, or Snipping Tool automatically adds in text when it recognises it. But I doubt it.
That’s true, but I want the player to be able to see the character they’re talking to. Even though I like your offer @Cazran, I feel that pixel graphics wouldn’t do this game’s atmosphere justice. But I’ve seen other games with the same atmosphere use pixel art. Maybe you can help with the backgrounds. But the picture has to be 2880 x 2180. If you’re still interested, PM me.
Hey guys! @WaveJones will be helping to write the story for Codename: Who’s Guilty. I’m still looking for an artist though, so whoever wants to help can PM me.
