Clicking for menu + saving options

We have to click anywhere to use the menu (Developing game, Staff list…) and click on one of the people to use the other menu (research, train…)
Maybe it is a nice idea, but sometimes really annoying: i click on a person: wrong menu. Why? Don’t know, maybe i was one pixel off. Some kind of notice would be nice, like hover effect for the person, if the mouse is on it.
The animation for the menu takes to long. Waiting 1 Second for the menu to pop up is just to long, and it needs another second to vanish again. Maybe an option to remove this animation?
You could also make the standard menu always visible, maybe in the bottom left of the screen?

The options don’t get saved / only sometimes. The game should just start in windowed mode if it was closed with window mode. Also the option for the music doesn’t get saved - i like to deactivate only the music, because i see some videos while playing the (pretty good) game. :slight_smile:

While the first idea would make game simpler for simple gamers but about the seconf one. Are you serious? 1sec is too long for you? In an indie game? As far as I know every game has 1sec delay for menues.
And I’m sure they will fix the last one eventualy,once all important features are fixed.

Of course is 1 second to long. No other game i can think of has this problem. o_O
(i talk about the “Develop new game” menu, not the “save” menu.)
The problem is: the menu isn’t so slow because of some computing, but because it has this animation: every item of the menu list needs to “fade in” one after the other. this is not necessary. Maybe some people like it, but i don’t. Maybe it could be disabled?

Some kind of pause mode would be nice, but in my opinion not really necessary. But this was already suggested in another thread, so i will not talk more about it. :wink:
