I do not know if this is a bug or a feature.
It is a gameplay tip for me now!
The game makes a pause when a menu pops up, that helps to boost all developers at the same time.
That is important to increase the whole bubble point output while developing without any differences in speed.
It is good against unbalanced bubble points on boost, because all developers start and end their boost at the same time.
Click on an empty area at the side of the screen to open a menu and click on each boost icon after that. Finally click on an empty area again to close the menu.
Also click finish on pause to avoid any sneaky bugs.

That usually only happens to me when making large games and up, when 1 single bug has no effect.
But great tip.
I knew about the Pause 'n Boost.
Oh, I wasnāt aware of that; thanks! Iāll keep that in mind for future playthroughs!
Your welcome.
There is some precise calculations about the amount of bugs you can have in a game compared to the amount of total design and tech points a game has. Should be somewhere on the wiki.
Did a test once and i had 30 bugs in a 590 Design / 944 Tech game and it gave me a 9.75, maybe with no bugs it would have been a perfect 10.
I think that in order to score a 9.75, you HAVE to have a 10 candidate. Iāve experimented with saving right before hitting āfinishā and received a variety of scores on games. Itās a little frustratingā¦ Almost as though there was a scorecap at 9, and then the only way to get more was to have your score randomly inflated by the reviews.
Basically the game just checks your highest āGame Scoreā ( not the review score ).
If you would improve that, in combination with a spot on T/D ratio and have a great combo ( or release with unusual combo in unusual trend ) you should get a perfect 10. Taken that the audience is good and Genre/Platform is correct as well.
You usually get a 9.75 if one of th factors is not correct.
ps.
Releasing a great combo during the unusual trend gives a penalty on your game score.
