Ceedo and the wrong path of the savegame

Hi community and Super Klug Bros.!

There is a programm on the market called “Ceedo”. You can install it on a USB flash drive for example. After that you start the programm and install the game on the USB flash drive like on your normal hdd. There are the similiar filepaths as in windows, so the navigation is easy. Only the path for the savegame is at another but similarly location:

X:\Ceedo\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Game Dev Tycoon\Local Storage

  1. Before I did that, I have installed it on the hdd and started a game. So I have a savegame on the hdd.

  2. After that I transfered this savegame to the USB flash drive and start it from this location.

3. Problem: The game always start with the savegame from the hdd not with the savegame from the USB flash drive.

When I delete (made a copy before) the savegame from the hdd, the game thinks that there is no savegame. Even though I started the game from the usb-stick.

I know that it works because I saw it on another pc where no installation of the game was before.

My question:

How can i set the path of the savegame so the game searchs on the USB flash drive and not on the hdd?

I think you should reinstall the game in the X:\ drive.

I reinstalled it and the problem is still there. Now the game starts with a white screen of death if no savegame is available on the hdd. Really sad…

UPDATE 20.11.2014

Since I have bought the full version of “Ceedo” the game loads the savegames from the flash drive. The time before i used the trial version.

Its not actually supported to transfer game saves, but it could easily be done to copy your %AppData%/Local/Game Dev Tycoon folder to another harddrive. Note that it saves on your main HDD even though you launch it from another storage device.
