Cannot Load Savegame - Savegame lost

Recently purchased the game and I cannot LOAD back the previously saved game. When I start the game it forces me to create a new game and I cannot load a previously saved one (an empty “Load Game” menu is present) - then the save is lost, as the game rewrites it.

Any solutions for that problem?

on which platform are you playing and which version of the game ?

I am playing on Mac OSX with version 1.3.9

You should contact support@greenheartgames.com explaining in detail your problem and also attaching your save that you’ll find :

@PatrickKlug seems some user still have a problem with save on mac.

I played the STEAM version this morning, I saved multiple times and then i log in to steam and onto the game and it brings me to the company name screen… Did lose my game permanently? Because I had put tons of time into my company it appears to be all gone now, not happy :frowning:

I’m on PC btw.

Steam cloud should automatically upload your saves and then download them when and if you change machines.
Please try syncing your saves with the cloud.

  1. In your Steam Library, right-click on Game Dev Tycoon and select “Properties.”
  2. Click the “Updates” tab.
  3. Uncheck “Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Game Dev Tycoon.”
  4. Click “Close.”
  5. Restart Client

Then repeat to turn it back on. Your saves should sync. .
