So i was recently wondering if I could make a playthrough series and release it on to YouTube. Would that be okay?
Yes
There are a lot of people who have made lets plays themselves, including me, and I haven’t been sued yet, so I think so
You are permitted to make Let’s Play and other types of videos, but you may run into some trouble on YouTube with audio licensing. To get around this, you should either mute the music when recording your videos, or ensure that you are speaking over the top.

If you recorded in versions where music could not be disabled, could you still be sued by YouTube?
No, because YouTube have no grounds to sue anyone. You might however have problems with the rights-holders for the music. However, if you provide a voice-over over the top of the music, then this is considered as a ‘review’ under most laws (US and UK at least, probably EU too), and therefore recording the game is legal.
