I actually created an account on here specifically to let you guys know that this promoted me purchasing the game.

I actually had NO IDEA that this game existed, until I saw a post about this on Joystiq.

As I was a huge fan of Game Dev Story on my Android phone, finding out about this was an awesome surprise so I hurried and purchased it. That was a very appropriate (and quite hilariously realistic) way to combat piracy and I fully promote that action.

You guys deserve my money from what I’ve seen so far. Keep up the good work!

You can also verify that I did in fact purchase it, as I linked the same e-mail that I used to purchase the game on this forum :).

only in the pirated. the real one has a similar message but you can decide between two actions…

I have to say. I never heard about this game before but you genius idea about cracked version is making rounds so I think you did best possible PR campaign for indie game in recent memory. Really. Expect big sales after that. I really believe it. When I get home from work, I’m buying this game. Great work, man!

Funny thing is, I read it via Google News, laughed my ass silly and decided to buy the game. Totally worth it^^
