EDIT: What is a cheap Intel Core i5/i7 CPU that is compatible with the R9 270X? It doesn’t have to be cheap, just like this: Cheap=====(Right Here)=====Expensive
well
depends:
How much polygons, details you want, you would need a git gut graphics card and sometimes CPU
and
what kind of games, settings and FPS, you’ll need… git gut everything.
How much power can it eat?
How much can it cost?
How loud can it be?
What monitor would you like? A normal, one monitor or like a kick ass set of three?
btw. was this supposed to be blank? It is just the part picker without any chosen ones.
60 FPS and 1080p, thats all. 360Watt, look at the bar above the parts. Enough polygons and detail to get a clear rendered image. The price of the parts is under the parts list. 1 Monitor min. 2 Monitors max.
@Lukas_Schuurman
The RAM memory, 8GB of DDR3 is not enough for 1080p and 60 FPS,
I am not a big fan of AMD CPUs, I would suggest a 4th gen i7, this CPU’s specs seem enough tho.
I would also get a R9, it’s not that much more expensive and the performance is pretty darn better.
I don’t know about other components, but I think they are fine…
@Haxor 8GB of ram is plenty, depending on the game, it would depend on the cpu or graphics card mostly.
@brianmods I’m not sure there’s enough power in that
@Lukas_Schuurman the AMD cpu isn’t going to perform that great, 'cause AMD. (one of the i5’s has better benchmarks if I’m correct) ( I just realised how cheap AMD is) And also do you have a budget?
@Lukas_Schuurman - Regarding your posted build:
=That soundcard is unnecessary. Your motherboard has all the same features. You won’t notice a difference.
=I would personally spring for the R9 270X, I think that’s the best price/performance on the market right now.
=I can’t recommend getting an SSD strongly enough. I have one for OS and desktop apps, one for games, and a big fat spinning platter for games i care less about and general storage. I’m not saying that setup is for everyone, but the performance gain I see is in the “leaps and bounds” category.
=8GB might be okay for now but as games get bigger 8GB is gonna seem like nothing pretty soon. I’m only using 8GB myself right now and I’m already hurting a little bit (I get paging if I try to leave multiple chrome tabs open while playing GTA V)
=What’s the NIC for? your mobo has GbE, so unless you actually need the other port for something (maybe using this computer as a firewall and plugging your router into it?), it’s pointless.
=That’s a cool HSF and I want one. But unless you’re planning on overclocking it’s probably overkill.
=About the CPU… I’m not gonna tell you to change it. I can’t honestly say you’d be any better off with an intel, especially at that price range. All I can say is look at some benchmarks and decide for yourself.
A sound card is always nice and does increase performance on many games, especially AAA’s.
Not only is the difference in sound night and day but it takes the strain from the CPU. This is most noticeable when playing games with many concurrent environmental sounds such as wind, rain, waterfalls, footsteps, voices, rustling vegetation, animals and music.
I respectfully disagree. If your headphones or speakers are responsive enough to detect those differences, you don’t want your analog signals anywhere near the very electronically noisy inside of a computer, and probably just want digital out to the rest of your expensive audio equipment (what good are $200 headphones without a decent preamp or DAC?). Assuming @Lukas_Schuurman is using a standard gaming headset or basic computer speakers or (rendering the whole point moot) a USB headset, that soundcard is going to make almost no difference.
I edited the list, It has now a R9 270X. And i changed the RAM to 16GB. I can’t find the Intel Core CPU’s, Maybe later And i removed the Networking Card, there is already one on the motherboard
@Haxor My budget is just the price, but it needs to be under the 800$ or under the 900$
EDIT: I just realized that Intel is pretty expensive
Before you buy it I want to make 2 quick suggestions: get 2x8gb instead of 4x4gb so you have room to upgrade later if you want to, and shop around for a cheaper R9 270X, the one you picked seems a little pricey.
EDIT: I’m still with 4x4GB RAM. But i changed the Sapphire R9 270X 4GB in the Sapphire R9 270X 2GB. 2GB less VCM (Video Card Memory) is not a big change
