[bug] 2D Graphics V3 Bug [Solved]

Hello,

Lately, I’ve been having issues with the game. I can’t unlock the research for 2D Graphics V3.
I have 2D Graphics V2 at level 6, but still nothing. Can anyone help me ?

Are you sure you haven’t researched it already? Try going into the engine developing menu and see if it’s there.

No, I haven’t. I really think it’s a bug. I tried everything.

Maybe you don’t have enough research points.

Guys, seriously… I told you I checked everything.
I have tons of research points, but it’s not even available as a research.

This happened to me too once I had to reset my whole game save i couldn’t find the source of it. It made me real mad because i was at level 4 for my first time and i thought i already researched it but nope…

Which OS you are using?
e.g. Mac 10.7.5 // Win 7 Sp1

Which Version of Game Dev Tycoon you are running?
e.g. 1.3.9.

Which Edition are you using? Steam, Windows Store or Standard?

Have you used any mods?
If so, which ones?

I’m using Windows 7 Sp1
The version of the game is: 1.4.5
It’s the Steam Edition

You should report the error on the forums, you can hopefully find the mod you used on our official list;

We don’t support errors caused via mods or edited save games so i would suggest starting a new game. To do this as soon as the game hits the ‘click to continue’ screen press the ‘escape’ key and select ‘new’ from the menu. Be sure to not have any mods activated if you want to maintain the integrity of your new game.

Maybe you did some kind of sequence break and messed up your save? (Although I don’t know if that’s even possible in this game…)

Have you tried disabling all mods and checking if it shows up randomly?

There, fixed. I still don’t know what was the cause of this bug, but uninstalling and reinstalling the game did the trick.
