For the idiots amongst us, how do I get around the possible compatibility issue/ firewall problem?
I downloaded Game-dev-tycoon onto my laptop via Steam yesterday and haven’t been able to play it. The screen goes to black, but sound and interface are still happening.
My laptop runs Windows 7 Home and I currently use Charity Antivirus.

Hey, If you switch off the AMD/Nvidia discrete chip and turn on Intel the black screen will be gone.
I have switched to the integrated graphics processor and this seems to work.
