Just a couple of suggestions:
1 Instead of going bankrupt if you’re popular enough you might get an offer for a company to buy you out.

2 Being able to see online gaming news sites and blogs, they can give you news on sales figures and what’s generally happening. Such as a company going bankrupt or an announcement of a new console.

Anyone else think these sound like good ideas?

I really like #2 idea. And maybe when you are bought out by a company, you work for them in another company, so you get daily reports from the team leader or something.
