Bankruptcy at year 3-4

I always go bankrupt at year 3 or 4, any good strategies?

Make sure you don’t make every game the same. So, what I mean is that, say you are developing an RPG game… Those types of games use high Story/Quests, so, when you are making it, enable quite a few Story/Quest features and disable features of the Engine because Engine isn’t really important. Do that for every stage of the game. And of course, make sure the sections with “+++” are maxed out all the way, with the sliders I mean. And don’t do the same topic two times in a row. And since you are talking about saving money, don’t create a new engine unless you HAVE too, and don’t always buy a console license if you are not sure if it will put you in dept or not.

So by “Don’t make a new engine unless you HAVE to” means when one has already gotten a bailout and is almost bankrupt?

If you use the same engine for so long, it starts to effect your score on games. So if this happens, then you almost need a engine. But don’t waste money on a engine. And say you go from 3D Graphics V1 to 3D Graphics V2, make sure you disable 3D Graphics V1 because you won’t be using it. Same thing goes with 2D Graphics.

With making game engines, I recommend waiting until you get 2 or 3 new research-able features.
Make sure you can or are researching the ones you want a little sooner than when you’re going to build your engine. So if 2 parts show up, start researching 1 or the other. Try to make it so you have the parts you want/need for your next engine before you decide to make a new one. That makes engine development faster and would require less time and resources at once.

I’d recommend waiting until you can make a decent quality game by doing contracts or publishing deals if possible, rather than making a bunch of small crud games. Also, research what platforms fit what audience, and what topics and genres go together well. If you need a decent game Idea, do a dance game for kids on the TES or Super TES.

I have no regrets.

I guess you’ll have to lick yourself while you sleep. :stuck_out_tongue:

I do. I think it’s called sleeptalking.

No, I’m not

Okay, but really quick question. Can I import the demo progress to the full game? Because I just earned 5.8M in the demo with 5.9K Fans

It uses the same directory, you shouldn’t need to do anything.
