I must be stupid or something. I swear the demo was easy as pie, but as soon as I actually purchased the game, I cant get a game to rate over 5. I saw a wiki on this game,… Do I have to be a math wizard to be able to make 9/10 games?? This game should be easier, and more enjoyable but I am not enjoying it because there is no feedback on what I am doing wrong, or how to create better games.
If I am supposed to just use a sheet that says “for action games, focus on gameplay, not dialog” etc etc, why even bother having the sliders, if when you play with them you screw up your rating? Just have the same settings every time.
Different sliders for different genres. And there is some flexibility so there is not one EXACTLY PERFECT set of sliders for a given genre. This can be important as tweaking your sliders up or down a bit, but still within the broad boundries of the genre, can let you squeeze in more features (more bubbles) distribute your employee workload more evenly (more xp) and adjust the tech to design bubble ratio (better reviews).
The wiki is not required to play; I did my first fully successful 30 year game without it. I also went bankrupt a few times before I was successful, but that isn’t a bad thing. Play around and learn what works and what doesn’t.
The wiki is good for maximizing your score and refining your play on later play-throughs.

You might have done something different. Just as @pinstar said, sliders are all different for genres. I have a guide with sliders that helps a lot. What to set Sliders to
