A few suggestions to make tweaks to the forums

A few tweaks which I think should be made to the Green Heart Games Forums and some others may agree with me.

Allow the User to…

  • Delete their topic/thread that they posted …
  • Close the thread so that no one else can post …
  • set the privacy settings at certain points to Public so that all can see it,
  • Unlisted so that people can access the topic/thread if they have a
    working link to the page or
  • Private so that only the owner can display the page

All this is already possible, though most of the things you describe are clearly in the ‘only for moderators’ territory.

We use discourse as our forum software, so discussing general forum features is best done on meta.discourse.org.

If you do have specific customization suggestions that would only make sense on the Greenheart Games forum feel free to use the ‘meta’ category to discuss them here but it’s generally more productive to keep such discussions to one suggestion/comment per topic.
