A few suggestions regarding patching games after publishing

  1. needs to patch bugs found after publishing - so if your after service is bad your company’s PR drops and your fans drop out

  2. some middle ground in dev process. No games are ever published free of bugs. bugs should be displayed in % rather than in integers and it should be extremely difficult to squeeze this number below 10%, so you find a point of compromise that both fulfil bug-free games and dev cost.

As of now there is almost no point of publishing any games with any bugs, which is not really what happens in real life.

  1. reviews should be diversified and state your dev focus during developments: so if you focused on engine, review can say “marvelous physics” and etc.
