100-200 Hype and End of the Game

Hello
I don´t know what Hype means!

Sometimes I create a Game and it gets 100-200 Hype and I just wait it to get 1 ! I´m doing this wrong?

And one more question , this game ends with what last released console ?

Hype is basicly the customers exitement about your game. The higher the hype, the more initial sales it will generate.
Hyping a bad game will cause you to lose fans, so be sure to make quality.

Hype is for sales.

Good game+lots of hype=Highest sales
Good game+no hype=high sales
Bad game+no hype=low sales
Bad game+lots of hype=lowest sales

But I guess it’s understandable. Ever since 2000, if a game has hype, it’s the best game ever. Think back to when people put pride in their games, and weren’t money grubbing. Make games like they used to, with good story, gameplay, etc

Hype improves sales. Quality converts purchasers into fans. Fans buy your games.

Advertising doesn’t help your short-term profits in this game. It’s more an investment in the long-term, and it has the best payoff with epic games. 10-rated games are very sensitive to hype. 7-rated games aren’t. Games of rating 4 or less will drive off your fans en masse. Hype makes good games better and bad games worse.
