Depends where, but most sites list it for $70. You could probably get it at a nearby staples, or any other store that sells computer hardware. (Not walmart, lol.)
And yes, it’ll run every game you listed, and on high too. ArmA 2 may vary, just depends what server, and how many people are on it.
Well, I assume most younger people do use their first computers, while older people don’t :b
I’m the other one who uses my first and only… Well, 2nd and only since my 1st kept dying.
But hopefully, I’ll be getting a newer laptop that will barely be able to play new games… Life sucks.
I came to my local computer hardware store said HHD only boots slower than the SSD, but opening files, programs all of these stuff depends on the RAM, GPU, blah blah
He also said SSD are much more expensive that the HHD has a better “value for money”
SSD’s are more expensive per GB. There are SSD’s out there that are close to HDD prices, just that the SSD has 256GB whereas the HDD has 1 or 2TB’s.
Also, SSD’s will boot up and open programs files, etc faster than HDD’s. RAM and CPU do play a part with it but SSD’s can locate anything on your PC faster than HDD’s. I can pretty much guarantee that if you tossed a SSD in a Intel Core 2 Duo machine, it will run faster with the SSD than with a HDD.
The performance of the program does rely a lot more on the CPU, GPU and RAM. You might have a smoother experience with the programs, but it’s not going to make your chips run faster. It’s just that your chips are receiving information faster and therefore can initiate protocols sooner.
HDD’s do have a better value if you’re looking for a lot of space. SSD’s, since they’re new and experimental, are gonna be more expensive for a while.
Yeah, the SSD’s boot windows/games/programs faster, and also make loading screens and stuff faster too. Opening files depends on write speed, which the SSD’s wins that by a long shot. RAM is for storing files while in a program, so it can pull the files really fast. (faster than a HDD/SSD)
And yeah, right now, the HDD’s have better cost/performance ratio. I still love SSD’s though, once you get used to Windows booting up in 3-8 seconds, you’ll never want to go back.
