I’m having trouble getting it to work on the Steam version. I’ve disabled cloud sync for Game Dev Tycoon and it still doesn’t work.

If anybody could enlighten me as to how editing each factor affects the game, that’d be fantastic.
For the staff ‘factors’, 1.0 = 500 points. So 2.0 would be 1000, 1.5 would be 750, 0.6 would be 300, etc. This will be calculated automatically in the next version.
Design/Tech is pretty obvious. The other ones are up for debate, but I imagine speed and quality would have something to do with how quickly a staff member works, and the quality (bug rate?) of their work. I haven’t looked into these too closely.
Bug Fixing Delta and Relax Delta are unknown to me. Again, an educated guess would say they impact that rate at which they fix bugs, and how quickly they can recover from being tired, but that’s still just a guess.

Doesn’t work, your update did nothing
I can’t figure out how to actually open a file. It looks like there’s a drop-down menu, but there’s nothing to select.

Can open and modif the save game but nothing change after load my save.

Then you see Solt 1, Slot 2 and Slot 3. Edit them with a txt Editor like Notepad+
I dont know why Steam Saves the data there but it works.
“qualityF” is what the level of that character is multiplied by .2
The only time I tried changing it, I tried changing it to 3 (lvl 15) and it didn’t take. Still… Looking at three different saves I can say it is the level. If you have a couple of saves with several employees, you can verify.
I’m stilling trying to figure out how to decrease bugs. Higher skills = ton more bugs. Higher level = more bugs. This just seems backwards to me. Anyway… There has to be some sort of multiplier somewhere.
Or you could just get Notepad++ and edit yourself…

New Version, see the original post for download links. Changelog:
- Added Research Factor to staff panels
- Added auto update checker.
- Changed text fields to spinners.
- Modified parser so that values populated are multiplied by 500 to represent actual point values.
Edit - It’s worth noting that there seems to be a cap on the amount you can put on design/tech, etc at any given level. For example no matter how high you put Design Factor at Level 1, it will only go up to 500 in game.
