I’d like to offer my help with the Hebrew translation. I do not have prior translation experience, but I have been working in multicultural environments for almost a decade (in the US).

Although we are ready to start new translations we will need at least 2 moderators with previous experience and enough interest to warrant a translation.

I merged all posts re Hebrew into this thread.

We will need at least 2 moderators with previous translation experience to get it started.
There is currently a SA - Arabic translation in progress and we are looking into how successful, and even if its possible due to the Right to Left needs of these languages.

I don’t have any experience in translations, all I can tell is that I know what every text in the game means and I can help translating it to hebrew if you’ll need any help with the translation.

(I really hope the game will be translated to Hebrew, it sounds really nice)

Sorry for the double, but I needed you and everyone to see this. I ran some tests with hebrew in Game Dev Tycoon and I got to admit it worked great. I didn’t have to use any tricks to make it look good and right, and it can be displayed everywhere in the game. some screenshots:

I think the game can be translated to Hebrew, it seems that it supports it pretty good. What do you think? :smile:

EDIT: I tried to translate the first Industry News window in the game (rumors about TES), I’ll be glad if you’ll tell me what you think and if a translation might work (you can translate it in google and see that its a tanslation, though it won’t be translated good back to english):

Original window:

“According to rumours, the Japanese company Ninvento is planning to launch its very own home gaming console. Ninvento is known for the widely successful arcade game ‘Dinkey King’. Many Industry experts doubt that home gaming consoles will take off but we are eager to see what Ninvento will deliver.”

Translation:

על פי השמועות, חברה יפנית בשם “Ninvento” מתכננת להשיק קונסולה ביתית משלה. החברה ידועה על משחק הארקייד המצליח שלה “Dinkey King”. הרבה מומחי תעשייה מפקפקים ברעיון של קונסולות משחקים ביתית אבל אנחנו סקרנים לראות מה Ninvento תשיק.

The lines don’t look so good because this website doesn’t support Hebrew very well, but the game seems to support it much better and I definitly think that a Hebrew translation is possable.

I can help with the translation and as you can see there are many people here who can help. I can also post it and bring more people. Is it possable to translate it to Hebrew? (If Arabic is possable than Hebrew should be too).

Sometimes it does not though you can highlight the message outside of the text box and click quote and then it pops in!
