Free Ideas For Game Dev Tycoon 1.5.0

I like the ideas, but calm down a bit.

Letā€™s seeā€¦ Thereā€™s a lot I can think about.

-The expanded concept of a game series. A series would consist of the ā€œmainā€ games (which are one sequel after another) and the spin-offs. The spin-offs arenā€™t held to standards as high as the main ones, but arenā€™t as profitable. Also, they can be smaller (say, some small/medium ones on handhelds for a large/AAA game series)

-Speaking of AAA, it would be nice to have 2 more employees in order be able to have 9 specialists to make an AAA game with, instead of 7. Otherwise, 2 areas of development inevitably donā€™t get their own specialists and have to be developed by whomever has the time.

-Porting a game from one platform to another (not as profitable as making a new game, but not as much work)

-Making expansion packs for all games and not just the MMORPGs (in several sizes, perhaps: DLC, Mission Pack and Expansion Pack): same reasoning as with porting

-The capability to develop multiple non-AAA games simultaneously, with appropriate staff allocation.

-More capabilities for the hardware lab. Maybe you could create special peripherals for your games (like, say, a light gun)?

-Platforms: maybe a generic ā€œsmart phoneā€ platform (for those spin-offs I mentioned) that accepts only small games (or several different phones or phone manufacturers). Also, perhaps the more primitive hand-helds like the Gameling/VenaGear should also only accept small games?

-In that vein: maybe the Gameling could be split into several platforms, and only the later one(s) would accept medium games. And the GS would be improved into the 3GS, which would accept large games (but not AAA). Same with the PPS (PPS Aqua?).

-Flavor improvements: more historical platforms (Amiga, Apple PCs, Atari consoles, Sega CD/Saturn, CD-i, NGageā€¦), more events, engine components, R&D option, game topics, etc.

-Itā€™s just me: Iā€™d like a different way of researching new topics instead of one at a time. For example, there could be research items that add several topics at once (for example, the Sci-Fi research item enables the Sci-FI, Aliens, UFO, Space and Cyberpunk topics).

-Also just personal preferences: making sequels from the start of the game; the option to send EVERYONE on vacataion at once; a simple active pause bound to spacebar.

I would pay to get those features.

My fave idea is that you can make expansion packs for everything, not just mmos. The sims isnā€™t an mmo, and it has expansion packs. Lol, I love your other ideas too!

andā€¦ there isnā€™t going to be a GDT 1.5.0 unless itā€™s bugfixing or something that NEEDS changing. GHG have said it many times

I believe @alphabit is working on a new update

@KizzaGaming wowā€¦ i thought they they would be busy making there new game by nowā€¦ (since @alphabit is now part of GHG)

mh, they said they were working to first get the new update done,
then update UltimateLib to fix some bugs.
I did hear that GHG has new plans for a game though.

Yes, they probably are working on an update, but not on 1.5 I would say 1.4.20 or sumthin
