Recommendation for the whole anti-cheat idea: Have a client that can search the system for Game Dev Tycoon, and if it finds it, it will allow the person to connect to servers. That way, everything can be hosted server-side so that cheaters would have to illegally hack into the server’s files to cheat, and nobody wants to get arrested. Unless you’re that kind of person… if you know what I mean. :wink:

Everything on the client side is crackable. I don’t want to enforce anything (you can still cheat in the console, and that’s pretty much undetectable) in hope of people playing fair.

Okay, I just found a really stupid typo in the code that caused the spying research to take a REALLY long time to finish. I’m not sure how I mixed up the research duration with the cost, but anyway, 0.1.4 is out and fixes just that.

  • Now multiple players with the same company name won’t mess up the game

@Darkly some more suggestions;

1;Maybe when players release a game. A bar pops up showing the scores of the following game? Just like if it was released.
2;When a player releases an engine it announces it :stuck_out_tongue:
3;More news pop ups about the other players company and earlier questions and choices about them?

Used Version 0.14 bug with extreme long spying research was still there :frowning: .
